The Chartered Institute of Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners, Ghana (CIRIP Ghana), on Wednesday, 8th April 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the UK–Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC) as part of efforts to strengthen stakeholder engagement and create greater awareness of the Institute’s mandate and activities.
The CIRIP Ghana delegation, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. George Narteh Owodo, engaged the Executive Director of UKGCC, Ms. Adjoba Kyiamah, and her team in discussions focused on collaboration, awareness creation, and capacity building within Ghana’s business ecosystem.
Ms. Kyiamah expressed her excitement about CIRIP Ghana and noted her prior participation in some of the Institute’s programmes. The CEO highlighted CIRIP Ghana’s statutory role in insolvency and restructuring practice and underscored ongoing funding challenges, explaining that the Institute does not receive direct funding under its establishing Act. In response, the UKGCC shared similar experiences, noting that it also operates on a self-financing model.
Both institutions agreed on the need to intensify awareness of CIRIP Ghana’s work and welcomed a proposal to formalise collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The UKGCC further agreed to support CIRIP Ghana by sharing its events and activities on the Chamber’s communication platforms.
The CEO also briefed the Chamber on CIRIP Ghana’s upcoming Non-Performing Loans (NPL) event being organised with the Bank of Ghana, as well as the Institute’s judicial training programmes with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and its public lectures. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continued engagement and partnership.
