Felix Addo is a founding member and President of Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA) and a former Country Senior Partner of PwC Ghana.
Felix has over 30 years of practice and consulting experience in corporate finance and recovery, financial and forensic auditing, organizational restructuring, and performance improvement in both developed and developing economies.
Some notable assignments he has undertaken include; privatization of Ashanti Gold Fields Limited and Ghana Commercial Bank and was the Transaction Advisor to Government of Ghana (GoG) on the acquisition of VALCO. He was the Fairness Reporter for the Merger of AngloGold and Ashanti Goldfields Limited. Felix was the liquidation Advisor of Bank for Housing and Construction, Ghana Cooperative Bank and Ghana Airway’s Limited (In Official Liquidation).
He was a member of the Attorney General’s Committee of Experts set up to review the Ghana Company’s Act and the Bodies Corporate Insolvency Act with former and later in various stages of review by the Cabinet and Parliament. Felix was the Chairperson of the VCAP Project of the Commonwealth Hall Old Boy’s Association (University of Ghana).
He is currently the Transaction Advisor for the Ghana Government on several (PPP) project including the Boankara Inland Port and the Eastern Railway Line, the new National airline project, the Accra Kumasi Toll Road and the Rehabilitation of the Ghana Trade fair.
He played a key role in the organization of the first ever African Roundtable Conference on Insolvency for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in 2016 and currently advocating for review of the Corporate Insolvency Bill which was sent to Cabinet for approval. Felix is a member of INSOL.
He is the Board Chairman of GNPC, Former Chairman of the Board of Advisors of AIESEC, Ghana. He is also on the Standard Charted Bank board, Board Director of KEK Insurance, Board Member for Airtel Ghana, Board Member of Guinness Ghana Limited. Felix is currently the Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce having sworn him in 2016. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the College of Education, University of Ghana and a Fellow of Commonwealth Hall and a member of the Council of Elders of the Old Vandals Association. He is presently on the KOSMOS Advisory Council (Member) and Chairman of Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited.
Divine Kwaku Duwose Letsa is a Governing Council Member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA). He is a Partner and Head of the Construction, Infrastructure & Transport (“CIT”) practice Group of the firm. Prior to becoming head of CIT, he was head of the Commercial and Property Team as well as dispute resolution and in that capacity worked on a large number of matters.
Divine undertakes broad range of corporate and commercial work. He advises extensively on shipping, maritime, aviation, insurance, general & specific due diligence, construction and real estate transactions, project finance, negotiation and drafting of documents, contract administration and legal advice. Divine is a specialist in the firms Construction, Infrastructure and Transport matters and has earned praise for his due diligence. He is highly accustomed to cross border and local deals.
Divine qualified as a lawyer in 1975 after graduating from the University of Ghana, Legon with LL.B. in 1973. In 1990, Divine was the co-founder of the firm and head of the Commercial and Property Team.
Prior to joining the firm, he had worked as Assistant Director in the civil litigation and advice section of Ministry of Justice, Cross River State, Nigeria, having earlier taught law at the University of Cross River State.
He started his legal career at the State Insurance Corporation of Ghana in 1975 as an Assistant Legal Officer, but left after three years for private law practice when he joined Sekyere Chambers, Kumasi and focused mainly on civil and criminal litigation, commercial and real estate law.
Eric Nipah is a Partner and the Advisory Leader within the Ghana firm, Eric has over 16 years of professional experience. He holds a B.A. (Hons) Social Sciences Degree from the University of Humberside and Lincolnshire, UK. He is also a member of the association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA)
He has led or managed number of high profile or complex assignments for public sector and private sector and private sector clients in the UK, Ghana and Kenya and has advised on how best to and other ethical risks.
Prior to joining PwC, Eric worked in the UK office of Global Business Consultancy services as a Management Consultant. He has immense experience in Lender and Recovery Services and has provided a wide range of advice to clients in the Kenya and Ghana business sectors.
Jacob Saah is the Director at Saah Partners, founded by him in 2004. He is an expert in business law. He was the founding Executive Secretary and now a Governing Council Member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA). Jacob worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers (Ghana) as in-house counsel with the Corporate Recovery and Finance service line. In that role, he worked on several complex assignments for eminent clients within and outside Ghana. Prior to his employment with PricewaterhouseCoopers (Ghana), Jacob was for 10 years an Assistant Registrar General working on company law, intellectual property and insolvency assignments.
Jacob has served on several committees whose work has shaped the legal and regulatory framework of the Ghanaian economy. These include the Private Sector Advisory Group where as secretary to its Legal Subcommittee played a key role in drafting the Ghana Investment Centre Promotion Act.
He is a member of the International Insolvency Institute and also a part Chair of the African Regional Forum of the International Bar Association. He has provided advisory services to a number of major projects in Ghana, notably; Liquidation of Ghana Airways and Bank for Housing and Construction. He was part of the team that prepared the draft Corporate Insolvency Bill which is currently awaiting Cabinet approval.
Her Ladyship Justice Striggner Scott is a Governing Council Member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors. She has a distinguished legal and diplomatic career. She has served as Judge of the High Courts of Ghana and Zimbabwe, and was the Executive Chairperson of the Ghana Law Reform Commission from January 2000 to February 2004. She was a member of the Standing Commission of Inquiry Regarding Public Violence and Intimidation in South Africa (“the Goldstone Commission”).
Her Ladyship Striggner Scott has held various diplomatic titles including Ambassador of Ghana to France (with accreditations to Spain, Portugal, Greece, and the Holy See, as well as UNESCO) and to Italy (with accreditations to Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia and Greece as well as the FAO, WFP and IFAD.
Her Ladyship has served as a member of UNESCO’s Legal Commission and was an elected member of the organization’s Executive Board. She was also a member of the Conventions and Recommendations Committee, the Executive Board’s human rights body, and served as Chair of the Committee at the Executive Board’s 140th session.
Albert K. Fiadjoe, Emeritus Professor of Public Law, is a Consultant with the Firm of Fugar and Co. He is a legal consultant and academician of international repute, practices particularly in the areas of Corporate Law, Comparative Law, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Prof. Fiadjoe is also a Professor (Emeritus) of Public Law, University of the West Indies. A former Dean of the Faculty of Law in Barbados, Prof. Fiadjoe holds the degrees of LL.B (Hons.) Ghana, LL.M and PhD (London) with Certificates in Mediation, Arbitration and Rights and Obligations of the World Trade Organization from the International Law Institute (ILI), Washington DC.
Prof. Fiadjoe’s published works include Commonwealth Caribbean Public Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution:
A Developing World Perspective as well as a Biography of Justice Telford George, together with over fifty articles published in internationally refereed journals.
Prof. Fiadjoe was the Chairman of the Constitution Review Commission of the Republic of Ghana 2010 to 2012 and one time Chairman of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission. He is currently a Council Member of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences of which he is a Fellow.
He is a Member of the Ghana Bar Association, the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, a Notary Public, and Arbitrator.
He has consulted widely for the European Union (EU), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the World Bank, the Organisation of American States (OAS) and the Inter-American Development Bank, among others.
Justice Samuel Kofi Date-Bah’s career has spanned academic, legal advisory and judicial roles at the national and international levels.
Appointed a lecturer at the University of Ghana in 1969, he rose to the position of Associate Professor there and at the Faculty of Law of the University of Nairobi, Kenya, before becoming a full Professor of Law at the University of Calabar, Nigeria.
He has also held visiting academic positions at Lincoln College, Oxford University, at the Yale Law School and Fribourg University, Switzerland.
He was a Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana from 2003 to 2013. Prior to that, he served as a Special Adviser (Legal) at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London from 1984 to 2013.
He was a member of the UNIDROIT Working Group which prepared the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts. In 1978, he was elected Chairman of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (“UNCITRAL”).
He was Chairman of the Electronic Communications Tribunal of Ghana between 2015 and 2019 and is currently Chairman of the Law Reform Commission of Ghana. Earlier, he was Chairman of the Council of the University of Ghana from 2009 to 2016.
Justice Date-Bah was educated at the University of Ghana (LL.B, first class honours, 1965),the Yale Law School (LL.M, 1967) and the London School of Economics (Ph.D, 1969). He was called to the Ghana Bar in 1969 and practised law in Ghana on a part-time basis from 1969 to 1979.
He has published extensively on Ghanaian law and international commercial law
and has a recent book entitled Reflections on the Supreme Court of Ghana (2015).
Since 1996, Justice Date-Bah has been a member of the International Academy of
Commercial and Consumer Law. He was elected a Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2000 and was decorated with the Order of the Volta of the Republic of Ghana in 2015. Prof. Justice Date-Bah is a member of the Governing Council of Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA).
Selormey Aurore Lokko is a Governing Council Member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA) and a member of the Financial and Auditing Committee of GARIA. She is a partner and the Board Chairperson of the Fund. She has several years of experience in the accounting profession as well as in growing businesses.
She has worked with Midgley Snelling and Co in London, Mobil Oil Ghana, National Investment Bank, Tettey Ussher & Partners and currently in practice with Lokko & Co. Aurore was the first female President of Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Aurore served as the Chairman of the Examinations Committee for over 15 years, founded the Association of Women Accountants Ghana among others.
Aurore was honoured with one of ABWA’s merit awards in recognition of her immense contribution to the development of the Accountancy Profession in West Africa. She also received the National Award in the Category of Order of the Volta by the state in 2008. She is a mentor to several female Chartered Accountants as well as some Women Accountancy students.
Aurore sits and chairs on several corporate boards including Unilever Ghana Ltd, Global Business Technology, Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors, ISAL Investments etc and a Trustee of Archbishop Andoh Education Trust Fund of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra.
Tony Oteng-Gyasi is a Governing Council Member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors. He graduated from the University of Ghana and the Ghana Law School in Economics and Law.
He worked for the British Petroleum (BP) in Ghana in various executive marketing positions, he resigned in 1986 to set up his first company, a successful trading company, Tropical Products Ltd.
In 1997, he expanded into the cable manufacturing by incorporating, Tropical Cable and Conductor Ltd, with the active assistance of Empretec Ghana. Married, with five children, he is a keen squash player and is interested in building a company, which will survive him.
Vickie is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Addison Bright Sloane. She is qualified both in England & Wales and Ghana. Vickie has been practising for over 26 years, mostly in the UK where she trained at Taylor Wessing, a leading international law firm, and subsequently practised as a senior associate and then a partner at DLA Piper, one of the world’s largest law firms (by revenue). Vickie is responsible for overall management and international strategy of the firm and works closely with the firm’s Senior Partner. She also has responsibility together with the Senior Partner for business development and promotion of the firm in general.
Vickie s a former legal advisor to former President J.A. Kufuor and a former Minister of State.
While in the UK, Vickie regularly wrote articles and spoke at conferences on technology and corporate issues. She wrote the IT chapter of “The Euro in Law and Practice” and regularly chaired various technology and corporate conferences.
Vickie was chair of the legal sub-committee of a Ministerial team that reviewed Power Purchase Agreements in the energy sector of Ghana.
Highlights of Vickie’s work include advising on the US$547M Millennium Challenge Account Project, and leading negotiations on various major international projects including advising on two major telecoms privatisations of Ghana’s then two national carriers, advising on the Government’s first Sovereign Bond Issue, negotiating with the Kingdom Group (Prince Alwaleed’s company) for the development of the international standard five star Movenpick Hotel and retail and office complex and residences. Vickie was a key part of a Presidential delegation sent to familiarise itself with the bauxite industry in Jamaica.
In the UK, Vickie specialised in major technology, telecommunication, data protection, and infrastructure projects. As such, she advised on major projects including The Mayor of London’s Congestion Charging Scheme with a focus on IT and data protection issues. One of the largest projects she undertook was advising the UK government on its Broadband strategy for the country i.e. the Broadband Aggregation Project. This project, which was worth over 1 billion Pounds Sterling, was the largest broadband project in the world at the time. Vickie Bright is a member of the Governing Council of Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA).
William Panford Bray is a Governing Council Member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA).He was the Managing Director of the Ghana Commercial Bank between 1999 and 2002. He has over 40 years of working experience in banking and finance including his long service at Barclays Bank of Ghana Ltd where he reached the position of the Deputy Managing Director. Between 2002 and 2003 he was Acting Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Airways. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB).
Mr. Bray is currently serving as Board Chairman of Fidelity Bank, Enyan Denkyira Rural Bank Limited and Opportunities Industrialization Centre, Ghana. He is a Director with Unicredit Ghana Ltd and Oak House Ltd.
Mr. Bray has been honoured with various awards including Life Fellow, International Biographical Association (LFIBA), International Man of the Year 2000 – 2001; International Who is Who of Professionals 2000 and a Paul Harris Fellow. He enjoys walking and gardening and also is an ardent golfer.
Wilson A. Krofah is a Governing Council Member of the Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors (GARIA). He is a Business Executive and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana who has worked for the renowned multinational company, Unilever Ltd for over 30 years, specializing in brand building and trade development.
He has served on the Board of Directors as part of his promotions with Unilever. He is currently the Lead Consultant of Wacroaft Marketing Services and Managing Director of Wileb Mining Supplies Ltd and C.CCG (Ghana) Ltd.
Wilson is an Executive Member of Private Sector Business Associations in Ghana and is also currently the President of the Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
