We are pleased to announce that Mr. George Narteh Owodo has officially joined the Chartered Institute of Restructuring and Insolvency Practice (CIRIP Ghana) as our Chief Executive Officer.
As many of you are aware, CIRIP is currently undergoing a strategic transformation following our transition from GARIA to a fully Chartered Institute. In line with this evolution, the Governing Council, supported by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), undertook a rigorous recruitment process to identify a leader who embodies the vision, expertise, and dynamism needed to guide CIRIP into its next chapter. Mr. Owodo emerged as the successful candidate and has now assumed office.
Mr. Owodo is a seasoned financial and restructuring professional with over two decades of experience spanning the banking, oil and gas, telecommunications, mining, and public sector infrastructure industries. He is an Insolvency Practitioner, a member of the Chartered Institute of Restructuring and Insolvency Practitioners (CIRIP), Ghana, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) and a member of INSOL International.
Mr. Owodo brings over two decades of leadership experience in financial management, restructuring, insolvency, and corporate governance across sectors such as banking, oil & gas, telecoms, mining, and public service. His appointment is both timely and strategic, positioning CIRIP to deepen its impact and elevate Ghana’s standing in the global restructuring and insolvency space.
We call on all members to support Mr. Owodo as he leads the Institute toward achieving its strategic goals. Together, we can build a stronger, more influential CIRIP—one that sets the benchmark for excellence and innovation in our profession.
