Akua Essuman -Ocran is a lawyer by profession who volunteers at Ghana Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors.
She works at Saah Partners and is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and the Nigerian Bar Association after having successfully completed the bar in both Nigeria and Ghana.
She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Nigeria and a member of the International Law Association, Nigeria Branch.
She also holds an LLM in International Banking and Finance Law from City University, London and is currently enrolled in Coventry University, United Kingdom reading an MBA in Finance.
Whilst studying in Nigeria, she had a brief stint and worked at Ahmed Raji & Co SAN, Abuja. In Ghana, she also worked at AB and David and the Ministry of Finance for intermittent periods of time all throughout and after her university days at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
During her school days at Wesley Girls High School and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, she undertook several leadership positions. She is an avid reader and loves impacting people and the community she finds herself, therefore in her spare time, she works with her twin sister and cousin at Openspace Global, a pro African non-profit organization founded by her cousin with a goal of building the wholesome African, one conversation at a time.
